Colombia: Somos El Futuro
In February 2026, we traveled to Colombia with a group of 25 people with three main goals:
  • To organize a street football tournament for young people in the barrios of Medellín
  • To raise funds for Camila, a girl from La Honda who dreams of being able to play football like a normal child
  • To create a documentary about our journey and the hidden stories of La Honda
In collaboration with Make A Kid Happy & Niños del Futuro

8 teams from different barrios — one shared pitch
In February 2026, we organized a street football tournament: the Somos El Futuro Cup. The tournament took place in Medellín and brought together eight teams from different barrios of the city. The goal was not only to play football, but mainly to bring young people together. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, we were able to provide prize money for the participating teams. We also joined the tournament ourselves with SC Nowruz, representing a team from the Netherlands.

Camila — one year. one dream. one chance.
Camila is a 13-year-old girl (at the time of our visit) who has been dreaming for years of one thing: being able to play football at a competitive club like any other child. During our trip, we managed to raise €5,500 to help make her dream possible. This will cover her transport to the city in Medellín, a proper football kit, her club fees, football boots, and other basic needs. The funds will support Camila for one full year.

The hidden stories of La Honda
Together with several videographers, we worked on an extensive documentary that will be released later. In the film, different people share their personal and hidden stories about their connection to Medellín, La Honda, and why they do what they do.

Statistics — February 2026
All Nowruz projects abroad are made possible by sponsors who help us bring them to life. Numbers are not what drive us — what truly inspires us is seeing people engage with our content and genuinely absorb the stories we share. At the same time, results make it more attractive for new sponsors to come on board. Below are the figures for February for our Somos El Futuro project in Colombia.
