We look back with pride on a successful training camp with a team of 26 people. SC Nowruz traveled to Portugal for an intensive football camp — bringing together players, staff, and community in one shared experience.
In this time of increasing division and polarization, it seems as if we are drifting further apart. But we believe that in this very time, the need for connection is greater than ever before. It is our vision to achieve this connection through creativity and sport, bringing together people from different backgrounds and beliefs.

SC Nowruz × Portugal — Football camp
Sport as
a bridge.
SC Nowruz is a futsal club based in Apeldoorn and a community initiative. We believe in the power of sport to create connection — especially in a time of increasing polarization. The football camp in Portugal was not just about training: it was about coming together as people, building trust, and growing as a team on and off the pitch.
With members from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, SC Nowruz stands for the idea that sport can bring people together where other things divide them. The camp in Portugal was another step in that direction.
