About the Programme Are you between 12 and 30?

SC Nowruz is launching a creative programme for young people from Apeldoorn. Together we work on Salam Sarane 2.0 — our next major documentary project in the Moluccas. Whether you are drawn to photography, videography, editing, or storytelling — you will develop real skills, on a real project, with a real audience.

You will learn how to work with a camera, how to shape a story, how to document moments that matter. Everything you create feeds directly into the documentary. This is not a workshop — it’s a production.

After 80 hours, you are ready. The best participants have the chance to travel to Maluku, Indonesia — December 2026 — and become part of the team on the ground.

Brotherhood in the Moluccas.

In 2023, SC Nowruz travelled to the Moluccas to make a documentary about brotherhood between Muslims and Christians on the Maluku islands. Seventeen brothers. Two faiths. One story. The film went viral — 1.5 million views on TikTok — and screened at the Moluccan Film Festival at Felix Meritis, Amsterdam. Now we’re going back. Bigger. Deeper. With a new team.

Introduction Evening Thursday 27 August 2026, 19:00–21:00, Apeldoorn. We watch Salam Sarane together, then open the conversation: who are you, what do you bring, and what do you envision for Salam Sarane 2.0? Beforehand, you’ll receive all links and timelines from the original project — come prepared with your answer to one question: what can we do better for Salam Sarane 2.0?

After 80 hours
Trained and ready After 80 hours you are officially ready. The best participants get the chance to take on professional assignments at SC Nowruz events and projects.
